You’ll notice rather quickly that when you’re out on the prowl for a DJ app that allows you to effectively mix two tracks together, there really isn’t much out there that is of good quality. Even the apps that are considering “good” really aren’t.
That is unless you come across Native Instruments’ Traktor DJ for iPad, an innovative DJ app that shows you the tracks being mixed together as linear waveforms. The app tracks down the best of the song that you’re using, then once ‘play’ is pressed, the next track is cued, the loops are set, and the tracks are synced. It’s simple. The loop function is worth highlighting – all you need are two fingers to choose the part of the track that you want looped, and the app will pull out that piece of the song with no interruptions.
There are a bunch of little added touches to the interface that make this app easy to use. Even novice DJs will find this app easy to figure out.
